The same pay, every way

Before taxes. Biweekly (every two weeks) means 26 paychecks a year; twice a month means 24 — that's why they're not the same.

Biweekly vs. twice a month — the classic mix-up

They sound identical but aren't. Biweekly pay arrives every two weeks: 26 paychecks a year, and two months a year have three paychecks. Semi-monthly pay arrives twice a month (say the 1st and 15th): exactly 24 paychecks, each a little bigger. This converter keeps them straight.

How conversions work

Everything goes through the annual amount: weekly × 52, biweekly × 26, twice-a-month × 24, monthly × 12, and hourly × your hours per week × 52.
